When my SiL comes to visit I always give her cooking lessons. The recipes are always simple and by the end of her stay she’s picked up some pretty good skills.

Starting off learning to make food that is familiar makes working around the kitchen more comfortable. She loves chocolate covered strawberries and doing them at home is beyond easy. Add a sprinkle of crushed pretzels and you get an amazing salty sweet combination!

1 pint strawberries
8 ounces chocolate
1 cup pretzels, crushed

Wash and dry the strawberries, hull the tops or keep them on.

In a double boiler melt the chocolate until smooth. Dip the strawberries in the chocolate, then dip them in crushed pretzels. Place them on a silpat lined baking sheet. Put the sheet pan in the fridge until ready to serve.
