I am a big Lego fan, it’s the architect in me – I love building things, especially MINI things. The kids are really into Legos right now too and I’m so excited! I always look forward to seeing what they create – except for stepping on loose pieces at night, that part is not so fun. In any case, I always seem to find myself in a LEGO store…
Lego has a whole line of kitchen supplies now and I saw this ‘ice cube’ mold and I just had to have it. I knew it’d be perfect for chocolate, and boy was I right. It made the cutest LEGO minifigs in the whole world…and delicious too.
ingredients:
6 ounces chocolate (I used Belgian : Callebaut)
In a double boiler melt down the chocolate until you get a nice runny consistency.
Spoon or pipe the chocolate into the molds.
To set faster, I put the mold in the freezer for 5 minutes. Then….
I just popped those bad boys right out! So. Adorable.
You can keep them in an airtight container in the fridge until you are ready to use…
…but mine didn’t stay there long. I used them as toppers for cupcakes, of course! Cookies and Cream cupcakes (recipe, here) to be exact – made with my very own homemade Oreos.
The little guys look like they are guarding the cupcakes should anyone attack!
I feel like making 100 of these little chocolate LEGO men for no good reason…

Ahh! Adorable. Although probably not as tasty, you could totally use yellow candy melts to make them look even more like the real thing. And an edible pen for the face?

OMG these are so cute!!! My boyfriend LOVES Lego and his room is FILLED with Lego collections. A chocolate Lego man would be perfect for his collection, though it won’t last long cuz he LOVES chocolate! This is the PERFECT valentines gift for him! THANK YOU SO MUCH
