I don’t know how it’s possible, but I’ve been posting recipes on this blog for three years. That’s a long time, and a lot of recipes. (If you came here from the other blog you know that one’s been around for seven years! That is a lot of blogging.)
To celebrate I’m having a giveaway! What can you win? Well you know I love sprinkles, I buy a lot of them and use them to decorate cookies, cupcakes, donuts, ice cream – you name it. People always ask me where I get such a vast array and I am lucky to have a lot of local sources, but now they can be all yours!
TEN different ones – stars, confetti, dinos, mini hearts (I think those are my favorite), and more – just for you~!
Just leave a comment on this post from now until Sunday. If you’ve made any of the almost 400 recipes I’ve posted here, (Seriously? Man, I cook a lot.) let me know which recipe was your favorite, I really want to know what works for you! Or just let me know your favorite thing to cook. If you don’t cook… well then why do you come here? That’s weird.
Even if you just started reading or have been here for three years, thanks so much – I love cooking for/with my kids, I love creating new and fun recipes. I always appreciate all your comments (Well, the nice ones. Ha!) and thanks for reading, it truly means a lot to me.

I love all your recipes! Simple, yet delicious and so fun to make! My little sisters devoured the Sweet Potater Tots I made them recently. So thank you for your recipes!
I made your VERY Vanilla cupcakes as treat on my birthday party.. And i LOVED it! not only me, but also my friends and family! thank youu! Hopefully you’ll keep bloggin’ for another three years? =]
Me and my kids loved your awesome rainbow cake–so cute and delish! love all of your cute little lunch tray arrangements too and of course–all the WWYE-having two starwars fans myself at home! congrats on three years and keep it up!!
I’m here for the fruit smoothies! So good. The stained glass jello was fun to make, and it impressed everyone!
Since i can’t have egg or dairy I like that most of the cake and cookie recipes are easy to vegan-ise.
Hi Jenn.
I discovered your blog about 6 months ago and I can’t get enough.
You are so creative and fun. I always get a chuckle when you prepare your little boys meal on the tray. It always looks so appetizing and fun especially to a child. I have two little boys and I think they might enjoy their meals if I prepare their dish the way you do!!!
I’ve made several of your recipes, my favorite would have to be the mini french muffins. They are perfectly balanced with sweet and savory.
I’m currently taking a cake decorating class and I make a cake or cupcakes every week so the sprinkles would be a prefect addition to my new found love of baking.
Congrats on all the blog posts–I enjoy reading!
I don’t remember how I first found your site, I think it was the bacon+cheese biscuits that I made last Thanksgiving. I then realized we have a lot of the same tastes (lemon, bacon, root beer) so I subscribed, and have tried a very many of your ideas. For a treat for my wife, your Fettuccine Alfredo is on the menu for tomorrow night
Thanks for the great ideas and easy instructions — keep it up!
I made the maple cupcakes for Halloween and they were the hit of the party. Also tried the chocolate ganache cupcakes, which were delicious! Love the simple recipes!
I love all of your ideas and am so glad you share them! Soome of my faves have been the carrot cake cookies & root beer sherbert. Today I am making your banana crumb muffin recipe!
Hello~! I love your blog!
Oooo, there is so much I love to cook! My fav would probably have to be oyako donburi! Thank you!
OK, I don’t bake much these days, but I have you in my Reader. Why? I’m nosey. I like to see what other people are cooking – people that aren’t on the Food Network. I like to think I can make some of the things you do, even if my overweight, diabetic family can’t possibly eat any of it. At one time I had dreams of being a baker, so I guess I’m living through you. And if all else fails, I know I can come here for recipes and ideas for all those special family occasions.
Oh I love sprinkles too! Or better, my kids love deciding which sprinkles we’ll use and on what.
Here’s to many more years of blogging!
Jenn,
I would love to join you someday to learn to make mochi. That’s my dream. Sprinkles or no sprinkles.
Jenn,
I love your Neapolitan cookies, tortellini soup and vegan gingerbread. I have many more I just need to get to work on them.
Love your blog.
Kelly
hi- i have tried your mochi chicken. YUM! and actually, i was just about to look for your mochi/strawberry cupcake recipe. thanks and keep on bloggin’!!
Ohh! I want to win sprinkles. I’ve made a few of your recipes like the root beer pork in the slow cooker and your white velvet cupcakes and I have loved every one of them. I have yet to make any of the ones with mochi in it even though I drool over them. I better make some this weekend.
Thanks for posting your recipes, and especially the step by step pictures!
I love all of your recipes. The baked desserts always make me salivate!
i baked your cupcake brownies and the sugarrrryyy piggs in a blanket for super bowl and they went so fast i didnt get ANY! everyone wanted more more more!! you’re amazing miss jenn!!
I don’t know if I’ve made anything…I have the worst memory. But I love your cupcakes. I hope to use them someday (just need the time).
Love your blog and recipes. I haven’t made any yet. I don’t understand the hate mail thing. What is there to hate about recipes??
I love your recipes. I have tried so many… prolly because this was the first food blog that I ever found.
my favorite two recipes are the mini French breakfast muffins and the strawberry cupcakes. I have made the fettucini alfredo, the layered jello, the pecan honey bars (okay, I take it back– that is my favorite but its too dangerous to make because I will eat the whole pan), goldfish mac and cheese, and I know Ive made more, but I cant think of them right now. I also know that I bought the Ratatouille kids cookbook just cause you loved it so much. =)
Hi
I’ve many of your recipes, all have turned out very successful. The one I’ve been asked to make over and over again is the Hawaiian Garlic Fried Chicken. Soo Yummy, the dipping sauce is soo delicious, I’ve even used it on shrimp!
-_-
I had a cake stall in greenwich (london) last year, and was looking for a cookies and cream cupcake to go with my cookie monster decor. Yours was perfect. It’s so fluffy, and works with the coconut and frosting designs on top so well! Thanks so much for your blog, we had so few really interesting toppings off-the-shelf in the UK that your creativity inspires!
Hi!
I stumbled upon your blog looking for broken glass Jell-o. My family is from Hawaii and many of your recipes remind me of my time there as a young person. Thanks for the recipes!
I love your blog, it has lots of cute stuff! Those hard boiled chickies are the cutest and easiest, too!
WE have made LOTS of your receipes! The lemon chicken is sooooooo good, made it about 3 times last months, root beer pulled pork, Rainbow cake in Feb and make as cupcakes last week with 6 colors, the LEMON muffins with the lemon sugar those were sooo good and moade those in early march! For easter picnic i am attempting the broken glass jello and will make MORE rainbow cupcakes! We have made other things but that is what i can remember off the top of my head!
I’m making your layared jello for about the hundreth time now!
Hi, I just discovered your blog!
I’d have to say I’m a fan of the cutsie stuff, like in your blog header.
Ohmygosh, my son would love those sprinkles. He’s obsessed and the dinosaur ones (I think that’s what those are) are so cute!
I love your blog because the recipes are simple. I’ve made the pulled pork twice and both times it was a hit. I’ve also made the french toast muffins. Those were delicious as well. Congrats on 3+ years!
I love reading your blog!
Rainbow jello is always a big hit at parties!! Congrats on your blog!
Hello! Just started reading your blog a few months back
I’ve tried probably a dozen of your recipes and their fantastic! Favorite so far is the choc chip cookie muffins… their superb
Thank you so much for posting this blog, it frequently makes my day! *^^*
i’ve tried SO much stuff off your site.
but i REALLY liked the peppermint patty brownie cupcakes, and the greek pasta salad.
i also LOVE your fondant creations=]
yay! sprinkles!
I’ve made a few of your dishes but my kids always ask for your baked lemon chicken dish. which is just a miracle bc generally they refuse to eat, so thanks for keeping them at a healthy weight!
I love reading your blog – especially the sweets you post, along with your kid recipes. I have quite a few of your recipes bookmarked to make “some day” but the only one I have made is the chocolate chip shortbread cookies. I’m dying to make the ice cream bombe.
Keep up the posts! They are great.
I recently discovered your blog and now follow it regularly. You are awesome and I love your great posts. Keep it up.
Hey Jenn,
I’ve seriously been using your blog as my soul source of making desserts these past 2 months since I first discovered your blog. My housemates are absolutely stunned that a college student like me can “whip up” such fancy and yet simple desserts!
I’ve been mostly trying out all of your cupcake recipes (that’s my sweet tooth) and I love pretty much all of them. The marscapone frosting was one of the yummiest! My friends also really like the filled cupcakes and the dulce de leche ones! Thanks so much for these posts…I seriously love them! <3
I just started surfing all my bookmarked blogs again. Yours is one of my faves because the recipes are fun and interesting! I haven’t had much time to cook or bake since I went back to school last fall, but I am now expecting a baby and am feeling like Bree from Desperate Housewives now! I can’t wait to have another little one to bake for again! I love to bake more than cook because everyone loves sweets!
I don’t have one favorite. I like baking cupcakes and cookies — the prettier the better!
I’m not really sure how I stumbled across your site (about a year or so ago), but I’m sure glad that I did! You have the neatest ideas, especially for your children’s lunches. I’ve made the rainbow cake which received rave reviews from my guests, and you have so many more recipes that I plan to try in the future.
I just stumbled here, and can’t wait to stagger about a bit more. I will be looking for the lemon chicken recipe, and who doesn’t love cupcakes?
Hi!! I just started reading your site about 2 weeks ago so I haven’t made anything yet but I have a lot of things starred in my Google reader! I really want to make the banana split muffins!
Hi Jenn!
I absolutely love your site, I visit it often, looking for new ideas for dinner. Cooking 6 days a week can be trying, but your ideas make it much easier! Thank you!
*gasp* You mean, you’ve been blogging for seven years and I just stumbled upon you. I’m bummed that it’s taken me this long. Somehow, something Easter like had linked to your super cute chickie eggs (which my daughter is going to flip about seeing that hard boiled eggs are her favorite food at this moment!) I haven’t made the eggs yet (but plan to with some of the “easter eggs” I boiled last night to be colored.
As far as cooking, my latest NEW recipe that I love is Grandma’s Granola. Now, that doesn’t seem too impressive (or even a possibility in my friend’s opinion…”Can’t you buy granola at the store?” one friend said yesterday.) But this is GOOD stuff, the kind of good stuff you CAN’T buy in the store.

Wow! 3 years is a lot of recipes!! Thanks so much for sharing it all with us. My all time favorite (as well as my family’s) is of course something sweet! It’s the real strawberry cupcakes. MMMMMM!!!! I have made that several times already and can’t wait for strawberry season to make them again! Is it strawberry season yet?
Wow! I just found your blog through The Crafty Crow and have fallen in love. I love cooking for/with my kids, too, so I will definately be visiting your site often for inspiration and ideas. With this being said, I haven’t made any of your recipes yet, but I will definately be making the chick eggs this Easter weekend. So adorable! What a fabulous giveaway! Have a Happy Easter!
I’ve just found (and subscribed!) to your blog after seeing it recommended on another blog (She Scribes). I have a 4-year-old who loves to cook with me and we’re going to have some fun browsing your blog for recipes and ideas! I think we’ll start w/ the hardboiled egg hen and chicks, since we’ll have an abundance of eggs this weekend…
Looking forward to being a regular reader!
Hi! I just discovered your site. Apparently, just in time! I love to cook and bake. My favorite foods are comfort foods like chicken and dumplings, roast, and pot-pies.
Bethany
Hi! I guess I fall into the weird category. I discovered this blog from your other blog, and I’m hooked on both. I haven’t tried any of your recipes yet, but I do love looking at them–especially your baked goods. You cook for your kids in a way that I wish I did.
Hi! I’ve made a ton of your recipes. Some of our stand by ones are the banana crumb muffins, brown sugar cupcakes, brownie cupcakes, and white velvet cupcakes!
Shoyu chicken is still my favorite recipe. Per my husband’s request, I make it once a week.
