Hulk cut-out cookies (chocolate + green tea)

When people buy cookie cutters they think frosted cookies are the only option. Not the case! There are lots of ways to make cookies decorative without the fuss and the not-so-great royal icing.

Williams Sonoma cookie cutters are my absolute fave because they give the best impressions. And while I’ve made colored/naturally flavored dough before, this time I wanted to combine them to make the most incredible cookie ever!

I’ve used my Marvel Hulk cutter previously to make cookies for Hulk ice cream sandwiches, but for these I used chocolate cookie for Hulk’s hair and green tea cookie for his face. Chocolate and green tea are fantastic combination that’s not always thought of. Make these cookies and the puny humans will thank you!

Ingredients:

green tea cookie dough
chocolate cookie dough

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prep baking sheets with silpats.

Make the chocolate and green tea cookie doughs and keep them in the fridge. When you are ready, roll out the green tea dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Press your cookie cutter into the dough.

Now take a small knife and run it around Hulk’s hairline, separating the cookie into two pieces.

Move Hulk’s face to the silpat. Keep going and cutting out just the faces.

For the hair do the same and roll out the chocolate dough, cutting along the hairline.

Move the chocolate hairpiece right into the face that you cut out previously. It will fit in just like a puzzle piece. These won’t spread much, just enough to interlock the two flavors of cookie.

Bake for 10 minutes then let cool on a wire rack. A Hulk spatula works best, always.

Clever technique and flavor combination. I admit to being partial to royal icing decorating, but this post definitely has me expanding my thoughts on that.

It is a very healthy and potent drink and my skin feels amazing. You can make a face mask from matcha green tea too.

  10. William says:

Personally I don’t love regular green tea, but I have to buy the matchapowder. Where do I get it? Does trader joe’s or whole foods have it, or do I need to go to a Shoprite or something?
