O.G.’s 91 + King’s Paradise Cake
Well, O.G. made it to 91. Last year we had a big bash with lot of friends and fancy food. This year was a little more low key but as always – cake was necessary!
I ordered a family favorite: Paradise Cake from King’s Hawaiian Bakery. I’ve written about it in the past, three layers of light chiffon: guava, lilikoi and lime topped with an airy, sweet whipped cream. The cake is perfection both visually and in taste.
I decided to draw a picture of O.G. holding a Paradise Cake and put it on a Paradise Cake. How meta can you get?
The cake was appreciated and devoured. Here’s to making it to 91! Oh and I’m working on another O.G. comic-cookbook. Stay tuned…

have you ever noticed if they are consistent in the order of the colors of the layers? i guess it only occurred to me because OG’s cake in her picture is different than the real one.
