The Dark Side…of cheese.
You didn’t think I was going to use these Star Wars cookie cutters for cookies, did you? Well. I am – just not yet. No, first I needed to make lunch for the Kid, and we all know how much he loves cheese…
ingredients:
soft white bread
cheese
Man, that’s a pretty sad ingredient list but less is more! Very, very soft fresh bread from a Japanese bakery is the best because it makes perfect impressions but Wonderbread or another soft white will do fine.
I positioned the cutters so I could maximize the bread and got both a Vader and a stormtrooper out of one piece. Yay for no waste!
Once the faces are cut out, these cutters allow you to press down to imprint the image. Voila – instant evilness.
Again using the cutter, cut the cheese to fit.
Butter these bad boys up and make grilled cheese or leave them as is! There is something nice and subtle about the shadow images of the faces pressed into the soft bread. Something…super evil, but mostly…super cute!

Ah! Now I see what you were referring too! Very cute. I love Japanese white bread. Soooo soft. Perfect for this. I wish I was your kid. Maybe in my next life
Thow a printed piece in the toaster in the AM — you should still get awesome results without the fancy toaster.
A cheese samich without Miracle Whip? (shudders)
SO cute! I’m going to send this to my girlfriend who’s boys are having a Star Wars themed birthday party this fall!
Love it!

I wish my nephew was still 5 and not 25. I love this. What the heck, I’m gonna make this for him anyway.
