Brown Sugar Cupcakes
Brown sugar adds a warm comfort to baked goods. Since these super soft cupcakes are infused with brown sugar flavor you’ll find that you won’t even need frosting!
Wait let’s not get crazy, some great frostings that are a perfect match to these cupcakes are Cinnamon Buttercream, Maple Whipped Cream Frosting, Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting or Mascarpone Frosting. Any of these would make a great addition to this luscious brown sugar cake.

Brown Sugar Cupcakes
Ingredients:
3/4 cups (1-1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1-3/4 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
1-1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2-1/4 cups cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup buttermilk
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and prep a cupcake pan with liners.
In a bowl whisk together the cake flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In the bowl of an electric mixer, cream the butter and brown sugar.
Slowly add the eggs, then the vanilla.
Alternate the flour mixture with the buttermilk until combined.
Fill each liner 3/4 full, and bake for 15 minutes.
Let cool on a wire rack.

I just made these tonight. They are super simple to make. I didn’t get exactly 24 out of them and at first I thought I did something wrong b/c the batter was thick, but they turned out delicious. I top them with powdered sugar. Yummy! Thanks.
I was wondering if the cupcake are moist?
These were excellent! We filled them with fleur de sel caramel sauce from Trader Joe’s…sooooo good!!
