Captain Marvel Soars Higher, Further, Faster

Carol Danvers first made her comics debut over 50 years ago and now with her first MCU film, it’s time for her to soar. Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, an elite member of the Kree Starforce. Soon her past comes up for question as she lives through flashbacks of an identity that’s foreign to her.

Carol soon comes to realize she had a former life in the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot, along with a best friend named Maria Rambeau. Along for the ride is Nick Fury, fresh and not yet jaded as an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. This is also pre-eye patch, which makes him even more literally wide-eyed as to what’s happening in our universe.

It’s no mistake that this movie debuts on International Women’s Day. As Carol’s past is revealed, so is her purpose. Her strength comes from within, and with the support of those around her.

This film reignites the fire of the MCU, which just had its 10th anniversary. With the films that came before, it’s as if this film and Thanos’ snap is a turning point for the Avengers and what’s to come.
