Where to Celebrate National Donut Day 2017 in Los Angeles

It’s the first Friday in June which means it’s National Donut Day and the entire country will be celebrating fried dough! It’s like Christmas but with more sugar! National Donut Day was started in 1938 in Chicago to honor the “donut lassies,” the female Salvation Army volunteers who served along the front lines during WWI and WWII, giving soldiers free coffee and doughnuts.

Donuts are my true love, I was once a judge in a donut competition where we searched for the best donut from all over Los Angeles. That day I tried over 40 dozen donuts and I lived to tell the tale. I’ve done the world a service and did a round up (to be updated as donut news comes in) of few places in Los Angeles were you can grab a free donut and more.
