Chocolate Root Beer frosting

Chocolate and Root Beer, two wonderful things to make a sweet and delicious cake frosting. Thick and chocolatey, with just a hint of root beer, a perfect frosting for cakes, cupcakes…or just to eat with a spoon.

Chocolate Root Beer frosting

Ingredients:

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup chocolate chips, melted
2/3 cup cocoa powder
3 cups powdered sugar
4-5 Tablespoons root beer, as needed
pinch of salt

Instructions:

In the bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter and chocolate chips.

Add the cocoa powder and powdered sugar, alternating with the root beer. Add more root beer to get the proper spreadable consistency.

Stir in the salt and use to frost.
