Cinnamon Vanilla Waffles
Growing up, waffles were always a weekend staple at our house. I remember the smell of them cooking in the morning and I knew the most comforting breakfast was about to come my way.
As I grew up my love of waffles has grown and my kids look forward to freshly made waffles too. This recipe is based on traditional waffles, with the added flavor of cinnamon and vanilla to take them to the next level.
While waffles may be for breakfast, I’ve been known to serve them at dinnertime as well because waffles are a welcome treat, any time of day.
Cinnamon Vanilla Waffles
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 Tablespoon sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup whole milk
1 egg
1-1/2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
Prep your waffle maker according to manufacturer’s directions.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir until just combined.
Pour batter into the waffle maker and cook until browned.
I’m making these today with my HK waffle maker too! hehehe~
so far they are too crammy with this recipie !
I need to buy a waffle machine…but made these as just pancakes, and they tasted good. I had to use up a banana (sorry…) so I mashed it up into the batter after I made some plain ones. Also tasted good! My son and husband are sleeping in late today, so now it’s all cold, but they won’t mind.
i love them now ! im making them right now 🙂
