CoolJerk cupcakes
My friend Paul is a great artist, he has a strip called CoolJerk which is updated every week online, but he also has collections which are in a series of books.
To promote the books Paul recently held a signing at one of my favorite comics shops – the Comic Bug. The Bug is a great family friendly store that I take the kids to all the time for books, toys and all kinds of events.
To promote the CoolJerk signing Paul asked me to make cupcakes which would be free with a book purchase. I couldn’t make just any cupcakes, where’s the fun in that?
I took images of his characters and resized them, printed them on glossy paper. Then I cut them to all the same size, 1.9″ – because I’m super particular like that. Using regular Tacky Glue I stuck them to wooden ice cream spoons, which are great sturdy supports, almost little paddles.
This is a quick and easy way to make cupcake toppers for artwork, kids pictures or even a DIY themed party.
The cupcakes made great little tasty promotions which showcased the comic’s characters. Tho the one of just Paul’s face was pretty awesome too.
All his books and merch are available online, HERE.
You friend Paul is certainly a BRILLIANT artist! SO jelly. Certainly made the cupcakes look awesome! 🙂
