Corelle giveaway!

When I was growing up I remeber O.G. coming home from work late at night and getting herself dinner. Out of the cupboard she’d pull round plates with a very distinct green floral pattern around the edge and serve herself some leftovers. She always said they were so sturdy because they were made by Corelle.

Now 30 years later we go to eat dinner at her house every Friday night and we eat off of those exact same plates! Not one has ever broken and they still look as good as they did all those years ago. Always dependable, sturdy and always round.

Made of recycled glass, Corelle’s it’s strength and chip resistance is legendary. While their footprint is eco-friendly the dishes ACTUAL footprint is small as well, as the plates are fantastic space savers. If you stack 8 regular bowls next to Corelle dishware not only is there a visible space saving difference but they weigh almost 1/3 less!

Now Corelle is introducing a new line of Boutique ware in bright patterns, bold designs and yes – now they even come square! The Boutique line is elegant and beautiful enough for formal occasions, even more morning oatmeal feels a little fancier! The “Swept” pattern is the familiar round shape but with a soft and elegant design.

The “Cherish” line is square with rounded edges giving it a modern and distinct feel. Both are beautiful and I bet choosing round or square plates says something about one’s personality!

Corelle is offering one of my readers an entire set of dinnerware from the new Boutique line! 4 dinner plates, 4 luncheon plates, 4 bowls and 4 mugs. The trick is you have to choose whether you want the “Swept” or the “Cherish” – square or round, which to choose? Enter to win by tweeting, liking my facebook page or leaving a comment! Each is one entry.

  14. Cricket Lee says:

I love the round bowls so much. Square’s cool and modern but round always reminds me of hanging out with my mom when she’d come home every four weeks for her two weeks off while working on the Alyeska Pipeline…so I’d go with round! πŸ™‚

  30. Kelly says:

I adore great dish ware! I grew up with my favorite mixing bowl- not Corelle, I think, but something very similar, white with the blue dots around the edge. That bowl stood up to loads of cookies, cakes, frostings, salads, just about anything you could throw at it. I have a kitchen aid mixer, mixing bowls of varying sizes and still, I wish I had that perfect sized and depth mixing bowl several times a year. The new dish patterns look lovely!

  31. Rae says:

Corelle’s were the first dishes in our house when we moved in. We haven’t broken one yet! (knock on wood)

  32. Panya says:

We have two Corelle patterns right now. I love how light they are.

  33. Lisa C says:

    Ooh, what lovely plates!

  34. Heather says:

When I got married, I decided I wanted white Corelle for their dependability and versatility (what DOESN’T white go with???) Now that I’m a little older, I still love my Corelle-ware, I’m just looking for something more sophisticated – and these just might be it!

  35. Marie says:

I love white plates and Corelle! I would love to have either one but Swept is probably my favorite of the two.

  36. LEA V says:

When I moved in with my partner I made him drive me to every store in search of corelle plates! My parents had them when I was growing up, and they stayed intact no matter how many times we dropped them (hmm, maybe should have left that out!) I love the square plates, they just look so elegant!

  42. LW says:

Many of our kids’ plates are Corelle – love the durability!

  43. Sandy says:
