Crock Pot Chili
There’s nothing quite like a big old bowl of chili, it’s comforting and warm and just a bit heartier than a bowl of soup. Whether you like it with a side of saltines, topped with sour cream or cheese or the Hawaii way poured over a hot dog or burrito, chili is pure comfort food through and through.
Everyone has a favoreite recipe that makes chili to their taste, this simple recipe starts off on the stove top but the crock pot does all the real work for you. In just a few hours you’ll have a big pot full of chili-love.
Crock Pot Chili
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
2 onions, diced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 (28 oz) can stewed tomatoes
2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
1 (14.5 oz) can kidney beans
3 Tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic salt
2 teaspoons oregano
2 teaspoons cumin
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
Brown meat in a large skillet. Add the onions and garlic and cook until the onions are soft.
Pour meat mixture into the crock pot with all the other ingredients.
Stir well and cook on low for 4-6 hours. Serve.
