CSA – Turkey BLT
Parents that always complain that their kids don’t eat enough fruit and vegetables? A CSA is a chance for the complainers to put their money where their mouth is. Literally. Finally The Kid’s school has decided to start a CSA (community supported agriculture) and now we pay to receive fresh produce every two weeks. All the produce comes freshly packed from a local farm, all of which are seasonal.
It’s fun to come up with new recipes based on the surprises inside the box. Some weeks I make complicated dishes and other days I make things like this, a very simple turkey blt. A satifying sandwich that becomes luxurious when you eat it on a toasted croissant.
CSA produce used:
lettuce
tomatoes
carrots (side dish)
apples (side dish)
grapes (side dish)
This is a quick way to use your CSA items and you don’t even have to cook! (well, the bacon – but come on). Look for more CSA recipes from me soon!
