Cut-out Heart Cupcakes
Previously I’ve made these out of lemon cupcakes but there’s something simply stunning about red velvet!
To make these, simply overfill cupcake pans just a touch, so that they fluff over. Once cool, carefully slice off the fluffy top and then use a cookie cutter to cut out a heart. Frost the bottom cupcake and then replace the top so that the frosting peekes through the open cut-out heart.
These are beautiful little treats to give out for Valentine’s Day but they also look fabulous at a party buffet. If you’re not a big frosting fan, this is a great way to create a beautiful presentation but still have a delicious cupcake!
Super cute! Those could potentially ship well 🙂
Holy crap, those are so adorable.
Wow. How simple – yet so brilliant.
I always feel like I’m peeking behind the curtain at the Wizard. I see the picture and think, “That looks awesome and there is NO way I could ever do that.” And then I click over to your recipes and think, “There is hope for me yet.”
These are so pretty! You’re always so creative!
Genius. Sheer, sugary genius.
