Disney Halloween Tiered Tray DIY

Tis’ the season to start decorating. Sure it’s not even October but if decorations bring on the feeling of Fall, I’m all in. If you starting to decorate early like me, it’s best to start small. Tiered tray decor ideas are everywhere on Instagram—from the elaborate to simple—they’re easy to put together with things you already have on hand!

Growing in popularity are themed-tiered trays with a Disney-twist, and Disney-grammers are having fun with this festive holiday craft. I couldn’t help but get in on the action, especially because I already had most of the items at home.

To start, you need a tiered tray, obviously. But don’t feel the need to run out and get one. You can make your own with plates and cups, or cake plates will do as well. I like the fact that these cake plates are separate so I can move them, allowing for more space around the base and different arrangements.

I start with focal points. Here I used a Halloween Mickey lantern that I got years ago and bring out every Fall. I placed my (also years old) Tsum Tsum Haunted House next to it to give the arrangement some height. I felt like these two large pieces would make great anchors for this tray.

Next I start adding smaller items. Here I used spiderweb coasters and coloredfoam pumpkins. I even added a beautifully orange real mini pumpkin that I got at Trader Joe’s for just 69 cents.

Candy is always a good call for a Halloween tray and I used haunted labels to call out Candy Corn since it’s so controversial. Hey, I like it – poison or not!

Finally, fill in the empty space with more decor. Sometimes I use real flowers from my garden, but floral from the dollar section at Target is easy to grab and always affordable.

This is nice to keep in the kitchen or dining area but I keep mine in the front entryway for guests to see when they arrive.

The best thing about this craft is that is can be easily changed or dismantled. Believe me I already have a few ideas for Thanksgiving and Christmas tiered trays!
