Disney Pirate Fairy cupcakes

My kids loved Peter Pan and the idea of Neverland and pirates was something that was part of their everyday playtime activities. Now from the World of Peter Pan comes an all-new movie giving us a deeper look into the fairy world! Disney’s The Pirate Fairy is full of fairy fun along with a whole lot of pirate mayhem!

Each fairy has their own unique magical talent whose skills are important and a big part of their personality! Honing in on your talent and working to your strengths is something that I encourage in my own kids. My younger child loves to draw and nurturing his love of art is an activity we love to work on together.

Taking inspiration from the movie he drew a picture of Jack, a pirate played by one of my favorite actors, Tom Hiddleston. That man can sing and dance. Talk about working your talents!

As he started to draw the other fairies, I decided to create a cupcake for each fairy with features that show off their fairy talents. I guess you could say, I’m a Baking Fairy!

For the Tinker Bell cupcake I used green frosting and decorated it with a marshmallow to represent her iconic shoe pom poms.

Silvermist is the Water Fairy and so I created an ocean-like blue swirled frosting with edible sea pearls.

Every Flight Fairy needs wings, so Vidia’s cupcake is adorned with beautiful purple candy wings.

Iridessa is known as the Light Fairy. I made a bright yellow cupcake with large pieces of yellow candy streaks to reflect her radiance.

Fairies are tiny and Fawn the Animal Fairy has a command over all creatures including…and bugs. Ew. Luckily these are edible, as is the dirt which is really ground up chocolate cookies!

Garden Fairies are truly necessary or else how will your garden grow? For Rosetta‘s cupcake I used more cookie “dirt” and added candy flowers.

Finally The Pirate Fairy herself, Zarina. As a dust-keeper fairy she’s a bit of a troublemaker. Her cupcake is represented with lots of magical blue pixie dust and topped off with Pirate Fairy swords!

I printed out all the fairies, glued them to clean picks and placed them in their cupcakes. Now the fairies are all represented and ready to eat!

The Pirate Fairy comes to Blu-rayâ„¢ and Digital HD April 1. Make these fairy cupcakes and have a party as you watch the movie!
