Disney’s Tomorrowland

I went to a screening of Disney’s Tomorrowland and I’ve seen the future. I don’t think the trailers do the movie justice, it was an emotional action-packed ride!

The story follows a former boy genius named Frank, played by George Clooney. Jaded by disillusionment later in life, Frank’s outlook starts to change when he meets a bright young girl named Casey, played by Britt Robertson. Her optimistic outlook and keen scientific knowledge gives Frank hope as they team up for a dangerous mission through time and space to find out the secrets of Tomorrowland.

The movie is rated PG but I wouldn’t recommend it for children under 7. There’s a lot of fast-paced action and some scary moments that even made me jump out of my seat. Lots of fun, but a few shocking moments as well.

In Tomorrowland there’s something wondrous at every turn. With nods to Jules Verne, Tesla and Edison, you could tell that the movie was made with love and was a lovely homage to Walt Disney’s heroes and influences. It’s an adventurous story of hope and optimism and the promise of a better future.
