Fancy PB & J

I’m a big fan of King’s Hawaiian sweet bread rolls because they are just the right size for a snack, or two…or three. I cut them in half, and spread one half with peanut butter, the other with jelly. Typical, right?

Why not fancy it up and add even more flavor to your average PB & J? Some bananas, a little honey for sweetness and a touch of sea salt. Elevated PB & J, more than a snack, a little piece of heaven. No one can resist them, not even Boba Fett.

And here’s my second comment ever: what does the salt do for the combo? Such an interesting quirk, will definitely try it (:

The salt just adds a little something extra – it brings it all together. Not necessary – but you’ll notice it when you eat it!

Natsumi – a little bit of salt makes sweet foods taste sweeter. Try adding a just a pinch to any dish that’s already sweet that you want to make taste sweeter without going overboard on an ingredient and mess up the chemistry of a recipe.
