Fondant Snoopy Cupcake Toppers
I get a lot of emails from people saying they are afraid of fondant. I was afraid of it before I used it too but it’s a great medium for creativity and once you get started you won’t want to stop. If you’re trying fondant for the first time, Snoopy is a great way to start because it’s just two colors, black and white.
Snoopy has a sweet smile and it’s easy to get a lot of expression out of him with just a few changes here and there. Once you get your Snoopy heads ready they’re easy to transfer onto cupcakes as toppers.
Fondant Snoopy Cupcake Toppers
Ingredients:
fondant
black food gel dye
Instructions:
Dye a small amount of the fondant black, I like to use gloves so it doesn’t get everywhere. Set aside.
Start by taking a small ball of white fondant, and shape it into a Snoopy’s head. You can use sketches or print outs for reference.
For the nose shape the smallest piece of black to shape a ball. Make a flat slab of black fondant for the ear, and finally just roll a teeeeeeny piece to lay on the eyes, eyebrows and the smile.
To move the finished head, use an offset spatula, place on parchment in a sealed container. Making fondant toppers ahead of time is easy and stress free.
Place on top of cupcakes to serve.
I found your how to when looking for ideas for my daughters Snoopy birthday party. It was so awesome, I did indeed try it myself. I was so thrilled with how they turned out, (I had never used fondant before) I thought I would share. Thanks for the great idea and getting me over a fear of fondant 😉 http://s251.photobucket.com/albums/gg286/mudchuk/?action=view¤t=SNOOPCC.jpg

I am a die hard Snoopy fan and LOVE your fondant design here. I am starting to think about my daughter’s first birthday in March and am hoping to do a Snoopy theme. I was wondering how far ahead I can make the fondant Snoopys and have them still be okay for the party day (i.e. one or two days ahead)? Thanks in advance for your help!
@Carrie
Sometimes I do my fondant decorations up to a week ahead, depending on how many I need. That way you have more time right before the party to concentrate on other party planning. But usually a few days is fine.
Suck a dick cock bite.
Very well written and informative article…I have been searching for this info past four hours…thanks.
