Furikake Pita Chips

Pita chips are so simple to make…even a Kid can do it! The Kid wanted to help out in the kitchen and I was all for it because it meant I got a break and could just take pictures.

Since throwing together pita chips is so easy we looked in the pantry to see what would make them different and Furikake was a top pick! Furikake is a salty Japanese rice seasoning and a little goes a long way. The Kid was a little heavy handed with it but he did a great job!

ingredients:
4 pita pockets
2 Tablespoons olive oil
furikake

Furikake is a Japanese rice seasoning. I use it in cooking quite often, and it can be found in Asian markets or online.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Cut the pita pockets into triangles, you can get about 8 out of one pocket. Spread evenly onto a lined baking sheet.

Spoon the olive oil over the pita triangles.

Sprinkle with the furikake.

Bake for 7-10 minutes until crispy and slightly browned.

Eat as a snack or serve with dip!
