Girl Before A Mirror Cupcakes for Liza Palmer
Liza Palmer is a best selling author, her book Conversations with a Fat Girl has been optioned by HBO and her newest book, Girl Before A Mirror: A Novel just came out last week!
Girl Before A Mirror is about Anna Wyatt, a woman at a crossroads who just turned forty and is struggling to figure out what her life needs. This smart and funny book might be just what you need find the heroine within yourself.
Liza’s book signing took place at Vroman’s right around Valentine’s Day so the theme of these cupcakes was love and sweets. Seeing as how Liza is a fan of See’s Candies Bourdeaux (clearly the best of the See’s Candies) I thought I’d push decadence over the edge and add the candies as toppers for the cupcakes. In the book, Anna finds a self-help book called, Be the Heroine, Find Your Hero and I knew that would be a fun focal point for oversized hearts on the cupcakes.
Candy-themed cupcakes and a good book. What more do you need out of life?

Once the cookies are cool Use a #2 tip and pipe words onto the cookies. Place on top of cupcakes to serve.
For the candy cupcakes pipe a ring of frosting around the edge of the cupcake. Place a See’s Bordeaux in the center, then pipe another ring of frosting to serve.
