~$100 giveaway!
I’ve hosted a lot of parties over the years, and no surprise – I am super specific about the elements that go into the party planning, especially the way things are displayed.
The WEBstaurantStore, the leading restaurant equipment supplier on the web – has so many cool things, from bakery boxes (love!), to serving platters, they have it ALL. It’s where I found the perfect wooden spoons for my Shave Ice Cupcakes!
Knowing my adoration for serving platters, the WEBstaurantStore graciously offered to send me one – perfect for the holidays. In addition to that, they’ve offered to let me give away a $100 gift certificate to one of my readers! That’s a lot of dough!
To win, just leave a comment telling me which of my recipes (index, here) you’ve tried or might want to make for an upcoming party!
You have from now until noon on Tuesday October 12 to leave a comment on this post. Good luck!
I love your crock pot recipes the best, I think.
So many recipes to choose from…I’ll think I’ll try your lettuce wraps since they can be gluten free!
P.S. Webstaurant store is the best!
Mochi is my number one thing I want to make but you have several more I’d love to try like the carrot cake cookies. I like your recipe better than Martha Stewarts. Plus I made meat loaf last night and I’m sure your recipe would have brought smiles instead of groans that mine did.
This giveaway is awesome. I always need kitchen supplies. Thanks for having this giveaway Jenn.
I love the star wars party you just posted. I have boys and I may use some of these recipes for the next birthday party. So creative.
I’ve made your broccoli salad, blueberry mochi, an cookies, inari somen, crockpot Kalua Pig, marinated tri-tip, spam musubi, three color mochi and your broken glass jello….many, many times for our family parties. I’ve also made your chickie eggs for my kids’ lunches and I can’t wait to try out your Shave Ice Cupcakes and your Brownie Ice Cream Musubi. I just love your blog and look forward to every new post!!
I follow your blog just so that I can see your fondant work. One day, I will try it! ๐
I really like the Broken Glass Jell-o recipe. As soon as I saw it I knew I had to make it. I did a test-run with my girlfriend (before making it for a large crowd) and I think we’ll make a Halloween-themed batch (orange, some kind of black, perhaps a dark purple?) for our friend’s party. Thanks for the inspiration!
My favorite is the Kalua Pig in the Crockpot. I made it earlier this week for an easy dinner with friends. I served it the next day to my mother-in-law for lunch. She asked me what restaurant the meat was from. I got to tell her that I made it. Score!
The broken glass Jell-o recipe rocks!!
Oh, I am in a comfort food mood (big cold) so I’d do the chicken pot pies! Mmm.
We LOVED the Shoyu Pork. It tasted even better over egg noodles the next day!
I love the Coffee + Donuts Cupcakes! I’m bookmarking that one for future reference.
Nutella chocolate chip cookies
I’ve tried your Nutella pancakes, though I didn’t have any Nutella and had to use homemade almond butter instead. The results were still nummy!
I’ve always wanted to try your mochi donuts, but I don’t have a deep fryer. If $100 magically plopped into my lap I could remedy that (*wink* *wink*).
I have made the Kalua Pig and the strawberry green tea cupcakes. I want to make your bbq sauce and crock pot ribs.
Jenn,
I love that rootbear pork so so so much!
for a party, I think it’d be cute on lil’ hawaiian rolls with a scoop of slaw on top.
The perfect end-of-summer treat!
Easy Chicken Chili sounds delicious for the fall! Can’t wait to try it, thanks for sharing the recipe.
I have made countless cupcakes, your brownies and pb choc chip cookies are out of this world, many soups, little smokies, and many more. I want to try more of the crock pot ideas though.

I have made your twice baked potatoes several times, they were a big hit! ๐ In my planning for the houseful of guests that will show up next month, I am trying to come up with a menu that is creative and new, uses as many fresh ingredients as possible, and makes use of any turkey leftovers–so I will be trying your pluot salsa to serve with mini turkey sliders.
Princess Leia cupcakes here I come! I can’t wait to make these and have a matching halloween costume to go with it!
Hi Jenn
I recently tried your Root Beer Pulled Pork on Hawaiian sweet rolls on my family as a trial run for a future get together. They were a big hit and am planning on making them for the next “tailgate party” (at home).

I love the cute bento designs more than anything, but you’ve got two or three cupcake recipes I’d love to try out. Like the shave ice cupcakes! And the guri guri ice cream, too. I promised my little sister we’d make that.
I’m going with simple – the Princess Leia Cupcake was, I think, a brown-sugar cake. It was so different than the usual chocolate, vanilla, lemon, red velvet. I never had it before, and it was PERFECTION. I want to make that recipe and do lots of great things with it – but I’m sure none of them will hold a candle to your amazing designs!
I want to try the Cherry Vanilla Teacakes. They look so good.

I am starting to print out your entire index as I would love to have a justjENN recipe book for each of my 2 daughters (and myself) to have in their own kitchens. I made 3 of your recipes all in one day: Onolicious Chili, Rootbeer Chicken & Brown Sugar Cupcakes… then I had to purchase the mini donut and cupcake makers…my 15 year daughter and I made the Mochiko cupcakes which were the “bomb” – she took some to school the next day and introduced “mochi” to her friends who also took a love to it! From all this cooking my sister now asks the simple question “what’s for dinner tonite?” and then we both go to your index to make our selections! Your Rootbeer Chicken is a huge hit in her house as well as mine!
You are an inspiration and a great teacher. You are like one of our best gal pals around… I hope to meet you someday and thank you in person for making my life easier and for making cooking/baking a “F” word – F U N!
Thank you very very much!

I really liked Ginger Lemon Buttons. I like lemon, I like spices and adore snacks ๐
Hi, I tried your cake recipe some days ago but somehow couldn’t achieve the same result as you, my cake definitely wasn’t looking that good (but tasted fine). What kind of chocolate are you using? Maybe it’s coming from the flour I used, so I used chickpea flour instead of usual wheat flour.
I love ALL of your Jello recipes! They are quick, cute, and fun to make, but most of all they are so delicious! PERFECT party food! Thank you for always sharing ๐
I would make your inside out ice cream sandwiches, because they are GORGEOUS and delicious…perfect combination! ๐
I’ve had the bacon wrapped smokies, which were really good but I’d like to try the ice cream jello. Actually I was really impressed with all the jello recipes. Thanks for the giveaway.

I discovered your website 2 weeks ago. I was trying to find good recipes for cupcakes and here you are…
I loved all of your recipes and I have made several of them in the past 2 weeks.

Now I am planning to bake whipped Cream Cupcakes and Coffee Buttercream Frosting today.
I am going to attend a murder mystery party this Saturday so I am going to bake Halloween Grave Cupcakes and Chocolate Buttermilk Cupcakes on Friday.
Also I want to buy Yoda cookie cutters to make Yo da oreo and Kakimochi arare from Hawaii???? to bake Kakimochi arare cookies.
If I win the $100 prize, I will use it to purchase several baking supplies that I don’t have for making more of your recipes.
I also have no serving tray to present these beautiful creations on at dinners and parties.
Thank you
The Jell0 recipe is my #1 tried and true recipe. Also tried your crock pot chicken long rice, not too much of a winner for our family. Always and forever will love your Cap N’ Crunch chicken. Also tried your buttermilk oven chicken. And now that I have my donut maker, can’t wait to make your strawberry donuts!!!
The broken glass jello always seems to call my name but my patience runs thin and I haven’t given it a try, YET.
For parties I always make your Somen Salad and Broken Glass Jello, those are big hits in the family!
I actually brought your broken glass jello to a Thanksgiving (Canadian) potluck two days ago. They were gone in a flash. So good and easy on the mouth for poor suckers like myself after having wisdom teeth removed. The root beer pulled pork is also always a huge hit too.
I’ve tried your layered Jell-o, your broken glass jell-o, some baked chicken strips, potato balls, the cupcakes with the cut-out hearts . . . I know I’m missing some things I’ve tried.

You always have the cutest displays, I’ll have to check out that webstauraunt store.
Dear justJENN,
I stumbled upon your wonderful website via thekitchn.com – – – I spent all day yesterday going thru all of the pages that were not only inspiring me – but reminding me of when my father was stationed in Hawai’i shortly after my birth in 1990… I had no idea how much the local island food influenced my family… and my own cooking style. I always thought every one had a rice cook – rice for dinner – veggies and spam. I grew up all over the south and despite having to mail order NOH seasonings on occasion – my mom always made sure that char siu ribs was on the menu once a week. She was fearless in her cooking and with her church cookbook she was unstopable(the cook book was lost in a military move in 2000)! I was so excited to see the crock pot recipes – I’m in college and this gives me a taste of my childhood – which is such a comfort during this stressful time in my life! I made the crockpot chicken long rice and my mom was so excited today!
Thank you so much justJENN!!
I’ve made your french breakfast muffins, baked doughnuts and broken glass jello. I want to make the rainbow cake and layered jello.
I really want to try the flower cupcakes in the pots! It’s such a cute idea ๐
Hands down the one I go to constantly is your “Homemade Peanut Butter Cups”. They are are so easy and I always have the ingredients on hand.

We love your recipes and we’ve tried many of them but our favorites are: Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies, Mochi Cupcakes, and Cheater’s Jambalaya.
I like your burger bites recipe the best!
I have a file full of downloaded recipes from your site. My favorites are all the cupcakes. But, I also like your brown sugar meatballs for a great company treat. ๐
I’d like to try making your caramel apples. Perfect for this time of year!
I want to make the domo cupcakes and my son has requested that I try to make batman cupcakes. I have made quite a few of your recipes and I love the tri-color mochi and slow cooker pulled pork.
Mostly, I get inspired by your recipes, creative combinations, and presentation.
But the one that I’ve followed exactly: the vanilla wafer burgers. I made them for co-workers who loved them. Who wouldn’t love them, seriously? And when one of my colleagues went to Romania as a Peace Corps volunteer and was terribly homesick (officesick?), I sent her all the ingredients and she made them for her perplexed english language students who, while amused, were slightly disappointed that they were not, in fact, american hamburgers.
Someday: I am going to make something with mochi. Eeek!
Thanks Jenn!
I really like the sound of the Chocolate & Green Tea Ice Cream Cupcakes. They sound delicious yet perfect for upcoming get together! ๐ https://justjennrecipes.com/chocolate-green-tea-ice-cream-cupcakes/2008/06/08/

I would love to try the halloween back from the grave cupcakes! my roommates and i are having a halloween party and this recipe would be perfect!
I love all of the desserts you feature, especially the cupcakes. I’ve always wanted to try the donut ones, but I need a fancy donut-maker like you have first; I think the old fashioned way might be too difficult.
Goodness gracious where to start, I have made well over a dozen of your recipes and all have been fantastic! Our favorites are the root beer pulled pork, the chocolate chip muffins, the rainbow cake (with the vanilla cake recipe) and if I had a donut maker I would be all over those mini donuts! ๐ Your recipes are just fantastic! I recommend your site to all of my friends. It really amazes me that your foods always look so scrumptious and perfect ๐ They really are a work of art! Thank you for posting so diligently, and keep up the great work!
I’ve made your fresh strawberry cupcakes (to rave reviews!) and will probably make your lemon muffins soon (my ILs are visiting soon and love citrus). And I’ll make the Nutella bread pudding for an upcoming party. Of one. (Me. Because I’m selfish with Nutella.)

I threw my boyfriend a surprise birthday party and I used your recipes for everything! I made your bacon wrapped smokies, root beer pulled pork sandwiches, ice cream jello, homemade oreos, whipped cream cupcakes and brownie cupcakes.
He loved everything and so did all of our friends! I wish I couldรขโฌโขve taken pictures but everyone was having such a hard time not eating the food until the surprise that once the surprised happened, everyone devoured the food.
I check your site weekly for updates. And I love your cupcakes! I’ve made a lot of your recipes, but I love your mac n cheese with the goldfish and the homemade oreos the most. I enjoy looking through your recipes for your take on my comfort foods.
Next week, I’m going to try your chicken pot pie recipe. ๐
I am throwing a Halloween party here in the next couple of weeks. I have looked through many of your cupcake recipes. I will be making the candy corn cupcake. You either love candy corn or hate it, this might be a great alternative to the much debated confection.
I have made your mocha and cinnamon sugar cupcakes. They are a hit at parties. I just love the way that you illustrate with picture the directions to each recipe. WAY TO GO JENN!!!!!
I’m baking the Princess Leia cupcakes for my best friend! That, along with using matcha in the cookie recipe for the Yoda cookies. It’s the perfect color, and will look a lot better than the ones I iced with royal icing for his birthday.
