~GIVEAWAY!~
This week I will be down at San Diego Comic Con! If you’re going please stop by and say hi, I’ll be in Small Press table N-10! I’ll have lots of cards and buttons and some new things including the O.G. comic/cookbook.
I know I said there wouldn’t be any more giveaways this year but I thought this was a good one. I absolutely love this Hello Kitty for Japan tote and the money goes to a great cause. Japan still needs a lot of help, so what better way to support than with something TOTALLY adorable. This bag is sold out in a lot of places, so get it here for FREE while you can!
But what will it be filled with?
Hello Kitty Macaroni, Hello Kitty Baking Cups and Hello Kitty Pocky. These items are rare and hard to find in stores. If you don’t like Hello Kitty…well, I think you’ve come to the wrong blog, honestly. But what else do I love just as much as Hello Kitty?
That’s right. Star Wars. These stencils would have been a great addition to my Ultimate Star Wars Party! Minimal work in the kitchen?! Count me in! These stencils just came out and are super fun, imagine the possibilities!
TO WIN: tell me what recipe you’ve made from this blog that youรขโฌโขve tried or want to try (list of recipes here). You have from now until July 24! Winner to be announced on Tuesday the 26. (Note: All prizes were purchased by ME with my own money.)
And don’t forget to stop by Small Press if you’re down at Comic Con. Good luck and thanks for reading!

I check your recipes all the time so my list of things that I want to try is too long to list ๐
Thanks for all of your ideas!
I’ve made several recipes in your blog, but I love the mascarpone frosting and use it for almost anything that needs frosting. I like it because it tastes much lighter than most frostings and way better than regular cream cheese frosting. I also made your Nutella Chocolate Chip Cookies for Christmas last year and everybody asked me for the recipe so I referred them to your website. Also, I use your pancake recipes for breakfast and never buy Bisquick anymore. Thank you so much!
Pumpkin mochi. Soo yummy.
All of the root beer recipes! I’m a big BIG fan of root beer. (And Hello Kitty. And Star Wars.)

I found your site when looking for ideas on a Star Wars party, requested by my 7 year old daughter. I am trying a number of the ideas/recipes from that and even had a few of my own I will be adding when the party comes in a bit.
This is my go to inspiration site any time I am stumped on anything, even if you don’t have a post specific to what I am looking for, the ideas I get just from browsing has made my parties for the past 8 months ๐

Hi Jenn,
Just want to say I really enjoy reading your blog ever since I discovered it a few months ago by accident. There are so many recipes that I want to try!!! So far I had made your Green Tea ‘Matcha’ cookies and they are sooooo delicious!!! Not too sweet, not too overpowering with the ‘matcha’ power and that extra touch of lemon zest made it smelled so good!!! I brought some to work and everyone was raving about it! My next recipe to try is your Kalbi ribs….I LOVE Kalbi ribs and I’m always in a search for making it more tender…and after reading your secret ingredient is SPRITE/7-UP Soda…I’m so tempted to try it out! Can’t wait!
Jenn my favorite recipe is Root Beer Pulled Pork! I have made this several times and it just gets better every time. I love following your site because I enjoy all the places you visit and all the yummy food ideas you come up with.
You’ve got me inspired to to try making mochi. It sort of scares me, but I’m going to see if I can’t get ahold of what I need and give it a shot. (Yay small town Minnesota. *sigh*) You’ve also got me super excited about going to visit my parents, who just moved to Hawaii. (We all left Texas about the same time, they went to Hawaii, I came to MN. Ugh.) I mean, yay seeing my parents, but the food you talk about is pretty exciting to me.
I have made A LOT of your recipes, but the Rootbeer Pulled Pork is still my favorite.

I might try to order it for my son’s B-day party! Those sandwich stackers looked so cute!
Hi Jenn! I love your site! I randomly stumbled upon it trying to find Hello Kitty themed ideas/desserts (I’m a HK lover myself)! I would love to try your broken glass jello. My boyfriend LOVES Jello (he eats it like he’s an old man already, hahaha) and it’s so artsy and most importantly… I bet it is delicious! But, if I had more artistic talent, I’d OF COURSE make Hello Kitty themed desserts/meals– I own the waffle maker but haven’t quite used it to its full potential!
Keep up the great work with your blog, recipes, and L.A. adventures! You are a great mom, designer, foodie, and blogger!

The buttermilk fried chicken pasta salad, hands down best recipe. However, I very rarely put in the chicken, I just leave it as a wonderful vegetarian side dish. Transports so well.

I have made so many of your baking recipes and they all get such a great reception from my coworkers, so I know they all love them too! My family loves the Cranberry cupcake recipe. My oldest son is a picky eater & when his younger brothers bragged about how delicious these cupcakes were he had to try them. Now he always ask “when are you making the Cranberry cupcake thingy?” Thanks!
Your lemon fried chicken got me! I decided I needed a dipping sauce, too – so I had some lemon curd and added some Thai sweet chile sauce to it. Not half bad, honestly! The more lemon & sweet spice, the better! Now I need to find something else to play with/eat up.
