Ingredients:

1 bag goldfish crackers (save 1 cup, crush the rest)
1 lb (4 cups) elbow pasta
4 cups cheddar cheese
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
salt and pepper
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into pieces

Instructions:

Set aside one cup of goldfish crackers and put the rest in a freezer bag. Now get a kid full of aggression who likes to bash things, just give him a rolling pin and stand back. Once all the goldfish are crushed take away the rolling pin.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Prep a 9×13 pan by greasing it with butter.

Boil the pasta according to the package. Drain but do not rinse.

In a large bowl stir together THREE cups of cheese (setting aside one cup), heavy cream, milk, garlic powder and paprika. Add the drained pasta, season with salt and pepper and stir.

Pour mixture into the prepped pan. Top with the reserved one cup of cheese, crushed goldfish crackers and the one cup of whole goldfish crackers. Add pieces of the butter evenly on top of the crackers.

Place the pan on a baking sheet in case it bubbles over. Bake for 20-25 minutes and serve.

Just made this today for a party and it was so good! AND very easy. I’ve made “real” mac and cheese before, and this way was way easier and actually more tasty! Plus, my son said, “fish!” when he saw it :).
