Grey’s Anatomy Cookies
Go get your person, because on this day Grey’s Anatomy first premiered! So many memories…to celebrate and get ready for an all-new episode on Thursday, I made flavorful and fun cookies inspired by the show.
Lime and tequila—Meredith’s drink of choice—are infused into this sweet treat, but feel free to drop the tequila if you like. You’ll still get a delectable snack perfect for enjoying while watching the show. Decorate as you choose, each one it’s own delicious tribute to the doctors of Seattle’s Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.

Grey’s Anatomy Cookies
Ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1-1/2 tablespoons tequila, if using
Zest of one lime
1 teaspoon lime juice
Instructions:
In a bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter and the sugar.
Add the egg, tequila (if using), lime zest, and lime juice.
Slowly add the flour mixture until combined. When it pulls away from the sides of the bowl, the dough is ready.
Wrap the dough in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until you are ready to use.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prep baking sheets with parchment or silpats.
Roll out the dough and use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
Place the cookies on the prepped cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 minutes, let cool on a wire rack.
Add icing if desired.

I piped black icing, then added silver pearls at the ends.
