Han Solo in Grape Jell-o Carbonite
Made for the Ultimate Star Wars party (here)
Han Solo in carbonite is legendary, so I thought it’d be a fun party centerpiece to have him ‘frozen’ in grape Jell-o. I didn’t have the Han in carbonite figure, so with the short time I had I just used regular figure, to which the kids immediately said, “THAT IS NOT THE RIGHT OUTFIT, MOM.” Yeah yeah, sticklers for authenticity. Han knows, smugglers just have to make do.
This is so much fun to serve at a party because eventually Han will be free from his gelatin prison and the kids will be happy to get an action figure! It’s like a fortune cookie except cold and wiggly!
Han Solo in Grape Jell-o Carbonite
Ingredients:
6 ounces grape Jell-o
Han Solo action figure
Instructions:
Even if your toy is new in the package, take the Han figure and give him a quick bath. After all you are placing him into food that everyone will eat.
In a bowl, mix up the Jell-o according to package directions then pour into a 9×13 pan.
Set the Han figure in the center nice and gentle like.
Chill in the refrigerator until solid and serve.

So fun! My boys had a Star Wars party last spring. I wish I would have seen this before then!
Thank you so much for this wonderful idea!! We are doing this for my son’s 4th birthday tomorrow and he couldn’t be more delighted. We also couldn’t find the right figure- we have Han Solo in his cold weather outfit but my son doesn’t care. Super fun!
