Hello Kitty at Comic-Con 2014

It’s that time of year again, Comic-Con is just next week and like the year before the one and only Hello Kitty will have a huge SDCC presence! There’s going to be so much fabulous kitty fun for Sanrio fans!

If you’re not one of the thousands who got tickets into the Convention Center don’t worry, Hello Kitty fans will be able to visit the Sanrio station at the Interactive Zone in Petco Park. There will be photo opps, giveaways and Hello Kitty nail art.

Hello Kitty herself will be on hand to promote the “share a Hug with Hello Kitty” campaign. Each hug will be added to the Global Hug Report that tracks all of the hugs given during Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary. I was lucky enough to get a custom one, aw thanks Hello Kitty!

If you’re headed inside for all the con action, the Sanrio booth is 4539 where head Hello Kitty designer Yuko Yamaguchi will be doing signings. Throughout the floor you’ll find lots of SDCC Hello Kitty exclusives:

Hello Kitty, Hello 40 story & art anthology published in partnership with VIZ Media (booth 2813). Featuring comic artists, muralists, toy creators and authors commemorating Hello Kitty’s 40th Anniversary, this Comic-Con exclusive edition will be limited to 250 books.

Comic-Con exclusive Hello Kitty Chun-Li vinyl coin bank limited to 1000 pieces at Toynami (booth 3229). Fans can also purchase Sanrio x Street Fighter plush, figurines, mobile plugs and key chains.

Comic-Con exclusive Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary Mini-Figures and Trading Cards by Upper Deck (booth 307) Featuring Hello Kitty through the decades, the four mini-figures and trading card bundles will be limited to 250 pieces each.

Chogokin Hello Kitty die-cast robot action figure at Bluefin-Tamashii Nations (booth 3545). This special 40th Anniversary commemorative item will be available at Comic-Con.
