Incredibles 2 Is Full Of Super Fun

For fans of the animated super hero Incredibles family their return has been a long time coming, 14 years to be exact. And while a lot has happened in that time, the sequel picks up right where the first movie left off, without missing a beat!

Incredibles 2 debuts in theaters today and it’s full of that same old animated family fun that makes Disney Pixar movies energetic and tugs at your heart strings. For the littlest fans who may not have been around for the first movie (well, with streaming, apps, and even dvds it’s easy to catch up) but it won’t matter, even if you aren’t familiar with Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash, and baby Jack-Jack, the movie makes it easy to jump right into the fun.

The movie flips the script and has Helen go back to work while Bob stays home and learns about new math, boy problems, and just how hard it is to chase after a toddler, super-powered or not. The film is lively and colorful but also has a few dark moments that might be a little scary for kids under 10, depending on your child.

As always Edna Mode is the standout, her screen time is mesmerizing and what I wouldn’t give for an Edna Mode original in my closet. Michael Giacchino’s score is unbelieveably fresh and had my kids dancing in their seats all the way through the credits.

Different from the average current super hero films, this one centers on the family dynamic and fans of all ages are sure to enjoy seeing the new adventures of the super Incredible family.
