King’s Hawaiian 2 in 1 Dinner: BBQ Chicken Pizza
King’s Hawaiian just made dinner even easier. They sent me a bottle of their new line of King’s Hawaiian BBQ Sauce and as someone who makes everything from scratch, I admit I was skeptical at first, but King’s Hawaiian has never let me down. Such was the case with this sauce, it was tangy and sweet and tasted just like your Auntie had made and bottled it herself.
Summer is more relaxing than the rest of the school year, but sometimes even fun activities can complicate your life schedule. I decided to make the most of the bottle by creating two recipes in one, that also made meal prep easy for two very busy weeknights. Even better? I got my kid to do all the prep work and cooking! That’s how easy these recipes are to make.
For the first recipe we easily threw together a baked BBQ chicken dinner. The sauce was so good no other additions were needed. In a parchment lined pan we placed 6-8 chicken thighs, covered it well with BBQ sauce and seasoned with pepper. Then baked at 375 degrees for an hour, basting with a little more sauce twice during the cooking time. The chicken was moist and flavorful and made an easy weeknight dinner.
The next night I had the kid make up one of his restaurant faves, BBQ chicken pizza. I told him it would be easy to recreate at home and by using the rest of the bottle of King’s Hawaiian BBQ sauce and the leftover chicken, dinner was ready in just 15 minutes. Get the full recipe below.
Two in one meals are the best way to get through a busy week and it gets the kids busy in the kitchen during the summer!
