Kona Coffee BBQ Baked Beans
Summertime is for fun, so who wants to stay inside a hot kitchen all day? Crock pot it! That’s my summer war cry. There’s nothing quite like sweet and savory baked beans as a summer party side dish and these have a touch of my favorite flavor, hawaiian coffee.
King’s Hawaiian has new flavored BBQ sauces and the Kona Coffee BBQ Sauce has just the right amount of subtle coffee flavor to add richness to any BBQ dish. It definitely punches up plain old BBQ beans and what would life be without a touch of brown sugar and bacon?
I add a little heat with the addition of adobo chili, just remember to seed it before you dice or your party guests will be on fire. There’s no coming back from that.
If you’d rather not risk it—leave the chili out altogether—no problem! This side dish is easy to adjust to your taste and the best part is the minimal work involved. Go off an enjoy your summer, you’ve earned it.
