With Valentine’s Day over you might find yourself left with a lot of heart quins. Or maybe you’ve scooped some up in the after V-Day sale? Either way, I love incorporating hearts year ’round and here are some ideas of how to use them:
Hello Kitty Cookie Cupcakes (recipe here)
After playing around with quins, I realized that turning hearts on their side makes perfect bows! This was a quick and easy way to decorate.
Heart Flower Cupcakes (recipe here)
Hearts become flower petals using a little symmetry.

Here I used a white heart quin sideways to get it to look like a mohawk. Hey, you’ve got to give me props for ingenuity on this one!

In Hawaii, kakimochi is a popular snack and even comes in heart shapes during the holidays! A perfect use for these is a savory sweet cookie!
