Little Pies on a Stick
I love the idea of tiny things and tiny pies is definitely at the top of the list. I put them on sticks to make them portable and let’s face it, even cuter. Little Pies on a stick make fun party favors or a cute surprise snack.
Little Pies on a Stick
Ingredients:
pie dough
cherry pie filling)
egg white
large sugar sprinkles
sticks
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and prep a baking sheet with silpats or parchment.
Roll the pie dough on a floured surface. Use a 2-1/2″ round or heart cutter to cut out pieces. You’ll need to cut out two for each pie, one for the bottom crust and one for the top. Transfer to the prepped baking sheets.
Place a stick in the center of the dough cut out. Place a teaspoon full of pie filling into the center on top of the stick.
Lay the second cut out on top, pinching the edges to close.
Brush the tops of the pies with egg white, then sprinkle generously with large sugar crystals.
Bake for 15 minutes depending on your oven, let cool on a wire rack.
oh these lovelies are just “popping” up everywhere – and making me hungry
