Milk Chocolate Ice Cream
You can’t deny the pull of chocolate ice cream. When given the choice, my kid chooses chocolate out of all the flavors every time. So when he said he wanted to help me out in the kitchen to make his favorite treat, how could I say no? Especially when he came in dressed like a Baby Ninja? Baby Ninjas make excellent sous chefs.
This is a nice smooth chocolate ice cream that tastes great on a cone or in a bowl with toppings. However you choose to eat it remember that when Baby Ninjas are not making ice cream, they also enjoy attacking their Great Grandma.
Milk Chocolate Ice Cream
Ingredients:
8 ounces Belgian Chocolate
2 cups heavy whipping cream
1-3/4 cups whole milk
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/3 cup finely grated milk chocolate
Instructions:
Prep an ice cream maker freezer bowl ahead of time.
In a double boiler, heat the chocolate until it’s melted and smooth. Set aside.
In a bowl, stir together the heavy cream and milk.
Whisk in the melted chocolate and sugar until dissolved, then stir in the vanilla.
Cover and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
Stir again to make sure the ingredients are combined then pour the cold mixture into the prepped freezer bowl and freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s directions.
In the last five minutes stir in the finely grated milk chocolate.
When done, transfer to an airtight container and freeze until ready to serve.
Heehee. Your baby ninja is so cute!
I just came around here and loved the blog! This icecream looks amazing! My ice cream maker is the same as yours! I will be fixing this soon!
Thanks!
The ice cream looks delicious and healthy! With bonuses from your baby ninja, this must be a really interesting dessert!
You should definitely win an award for these pics! They crack me up! The ice cream looks really good. You did a great job! What do you think of Chocolate Tofu Ice Cream? http://www.recipe4living.com/recipes/chocolate_tofu_ice_cream.htm Yeah, it’s a little weird. But it’s pretty healthy!

Baby Ninja is easily the most adorable thing I have ever seen.
So yummy, I can’t believe I made it myself! I didn’t even have any special chocolate in the house to use…just some semi-sweet chips for baking.
Great to see the boys are feeling better and clearly you do too <3. Ice cream looks worth the process.
