mini Pastrami Burgers
I made these into mini sliders so the meat on meat action wouldn’t overwhelm me. I like doing sliders as a main dish so that the kids and I can load up on fruit and veggie side dishes. The small and flavorful burgers also make great party food!
ingredients:
1-1/2 pounds ground chuck
5 slices (2 cups) pastrami, chopped
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Worchestershire Sauce
2 Tablespoons soy sauce
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
salt
pepper
small buns
You can grill these or if you are indoors — preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prep a baking sheet with a wire rack.
In a bowl combine the ground chuck, pastrami, onion powder, garlic powder, Worchestershire Sauce, soy sauce and brown sugar. Season with salt and pepper and mix well by hand.
Form small slider patties, remember these things always shrink so make them slightly bigger than the bun.
Throw these on the grill or if you are indoors place them on the prepped baking sheets and bake for 18-22 minutes to desired doneness.
What makes these unique is that the chopped pastrami folded right into the meat mixture not only gives the burgers more texture, but packs a big flavor punch!
