Mister Rogers Sweater Cookies

Mister Rogers may be gone, but his message of kindness still lives on. Aside from his life-lessons, his fashion choices are just memorable. I remember watching him walk through his door and change into comfortable clothes, the whole process blew my mind. We can have outdoor clothes and indoor clothes? That just makes sense!

These cookies are an ode to Mister Rogers’ famous red cardigan. The one he wears to feed his fish, the one he wears to get mail from Mr. McFeely, the one he wears to visit the Neighborhood of Make Believe.

Every time you bake and pass out these cookies to friends and family this holiday, heed Mister Rogers advice and, “Take a minute of silence to think of the extra special people who cared about you beyond measure and have encouraged you to be true to the best within you.”
