Pasta With Butter and Cheese
July is always my busiest month, with so little free time during the day, dinner is the last thing on my mind. That’s where pantry staples come in. With just a few items from the pantry, a quick dinner using under 5 ingredients can be on the table in no time!
Spaghetti, garlic, butter and cheese are all that’s needed to make Pasta With Butter and Cheese. Using the boiling pasta water lets the pasta make its own sauce and the flavors are irresistable. This simple and satisfying meal is one of the kid’s favorites.
Pasta With Butter and Cheese
Ingredients:
1 package spaghetti
6 Tablespoons unsalted butter
6 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup Parmesan
salt and pepper
parsley, if desired
Instructions:
Boil the spaghetti according to directions, saving one cup of the pasta water. Drain but do not rinse the pasta.
In a pan over medium high heat melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Cook until soft, making sure not to burn the garlic.
Add the drained pasta and the Parmesan. Add the pasta water and toss together.
Season with salt and pepper, adding parsley for color.
Serve immediately with more Parmesan as desired.
