Sophia Grace and Rosie Royal Cupcakes
My Friends Erik Patterson and Jessica Scott are writing partners and if you have a tween in your house, I’m sure you’ve seen some of their work. A Cinderella Story, Radio Rebel, R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour and now they’re reaching out to the younger set with their new movie, Sophia Grace & Rosie’s Royal Adventure out right now on DVD, blu-ray and Digital HD!
Cousins originally from England, Sophia Grace and Rosie were youtube sensations who were catapulted to fame by Ellen DeGeneres. Now in their first movie they are on a fabulous adventure filled with royalty, tiaras and lots and lots of pink!
Erik asked me to make cupcakes to kick off this Royal release and I knew that their trademark tiaras were a must. Making edible pink tiaras out of chocolate is oddly theraputic. Now I want to make them and put them on everything. Sophia Grace and Rosie’s enthusiasm must be rubbing off!

Ingredients:
ingredients:
pink candy melts
heart quins
edible pearls
Instructions:
Tiaras are curved to sit beautifully atop a royal head, so to make that curve I wrapped parchment paper around a rolling pin. This is where you will pipe the chocolate.
Place the candy melts in a heat safe bowl and microwave at 30 second intervals until melted. Pour the melts into a piping bag or I like to use a decorating squeeze bottle which is easier to handle.
I start with a heart, then make concentric ovals outwards on both sides. Decorate with heart quins or edible pearls and let the design sit until solid. It can be carefully placed in a freezer to speed up the process.
When they’re dry, simply slide off the parchment and your edible crowns are ready!
