Spider-Man Cookies
Spider-Man has always been a fan favorite hero and his popularity got even bigger this summer thanks to Spider-Man Homecoming. This weekend we get to see Spidey on the small screen when the new animated series Marvel’s Spider-Man premieres on Disney XD! It’s a fun new take on the life of Peter Parker while he grapples with high school life and superhero life. Kids are going to love this show thanks to the talented voice actors and fun animation style.
If your kids are clamoring for more Spider-Man these are quick and easy to make. By dying the dough red you’ll be one step ahead of the game, just add a few eye details and these Spidey cookies are ready to serve!

Spider-Man Cookies
Ingredients:
you’ll need:
Spider-Man cookie cutter
black icing
white icing
ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoons vanilla
red food gel dye
Instructions:
In a bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter and the sugar. Add the egg, vanilla, and a few drops of red food gel dye, stir together until the dye is incorporated.
Add the flour mixture until combined. When it pulls away from the sides of the bowl, the dough is ready.
Wrap up the dough in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until you are ready to use.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prep baking sheets with silpats.
Roll out the dough and use the cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
Place the cookies on the prepped cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 minutes, let cool on a wire rack.
Using a #4 tip and black icing to pipe the outline of the eyes.
With white icing and #3 tip fill in the rest of the eye areas.
Once the icing is dry the cookies are ready to serve.
