Star Wars Ahsoka Tano Cookies
Strong female characters have always been a part of Star Wars history and Amy Ratcliffe’s new book, Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy celebrates heroes and villains, Sith and Jedi, senators and scoundrels of a galaxy far, far away.
To honor the celebration of these unique characters I created my own homage in edible form. Fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars fondly remember the character of Ahsoka Tano. Voiced by the talented Ashley Eckstein, Ahsoka has become one of the most beloved characters in the Star Wars universe.
These Ahsoka Tano cookies are a sweet, simple tribute to the Padawan of Anakin Skywalker and the hero of the Clone Wars. The cookie base reflects her Togruta skintone, and it’s topped off with hand painted chocolate montrals to form the top of the head.
Whether you know her as Snips, Ashla, or Fulcrum, Ahsoka Tano is a legendary part of the Star Wars galaxy who we’ll get to see return once more when Star Wars: The Clone Wars returns in 2019.

Star Wars Ahsoka Tano Cookies
Ingredients:
you’ll need:
Ahsoka template
white candy melts
dark blue candy melts
black icing
white icing
pink heart quins
cookie ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
orange food gel dye
Instructions:
Tape the printed template down onto a flat surface to secure, then tape a piece of parchment paper over the top.
Place the white candy melts in a heat-safe bowl and microwave at 15-20 second intervals until melted. Use a small spoon or clean kitchen paintbrush to form the base of the montrals. Let set.
Once the white chocolate has set, place the blue candy melts in a heat-safe bowl and microwave at 15-20 second intervals until melted. Use a small kitchen paintbrush to add the blue details. While the chocolate is setting, start the cookies.
In a bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
In the bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter and the sugar.
Add the egg, vanilla, and orange food gel dye.
Add the flour mixture until combined. When it pulls away from the sides of the bowl, the dough is ready.
Wrap up the dough in plastic wrap. Refrigerate until you are ready to use.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prep baking sheets with parchment or silpats.
Roll out the dough and use a 1-3/4-inch round cookie cutter to cut out shapes.
Place the cookies on the prepped cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 minutes, let cool on a wire rack.
Once the cookies are cool, use the white icing to secure the headpiece onto the top of the cookie.
Use the black icing to create the eyes, and the white icing to finish off the details and add the pink heart for the mouth.
When the icing has the set, the cookies are ready to serve.
Thank you for the template, searched high and low for one!
