Star Wars Cornbread Waffles
I love a good waffle, especially a Star Wars waffle—somehow they taste even better—or at least they’re a lot more fun.
While I’m running out of storage space in my kitchen, that won’t keep me from getting my hands on every Star Wars waffler in the galaxy. This stormtrooper waffle maker is a straight shooter and never misses when it comes to creating the best breakfasts.
Since cornbread is one of my favorite side dishes any time of day, I figured what better way to go from morning to evening than by making cornbread waffles. I served them up in the morning for breakfast, then reheated the rest to serve for dinner alongside JFC (That’s Jenn’s Fried Chicken.) and a glass of Blue Milk.
Use the force—and a waffle maker—to make the happiest meals in the galaxy.

1/2 cup cake flour
3 Tablespoons sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 cup buttermilk
2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
Instructions:
Prep your waffle iron by greasing it generously non-stick spray.
In a bowl whisk together the cornmeal, cake flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, then stir in the buttermilk, melted butter and the egg, until just combined.
Pour the batter into the prepped waffle maker, and cook according to manufacturer’s directions.
