Star Wars: The Last Jedi Porg Cookies

Ingredients:

you’ll need:
4-inch Porg template
brown icing
black icing
white icing
crown sprinkles
large red heart sprinkles

ingredients:
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
pinch of salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions:

In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

In the bowl of an electric mixer cream the butter and sugars until combined.

Add the egg and vanilla, then slowly add in the dry ingredients just until the dough comes together.

Split the dough into two and wrap in plastic wrap. Chill until you are ready to use.

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prep baking sheets with silpats or parchment paper.

Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Use the porg template to cut out the shapes and transfer onto the prepped baking sheets.

Bake for 10 minutes, let cool on a wire rack.

With a #10 tip and brown icing, add the porg’s body details. Using a #5 tip, add the eyes, nostrils, and mouth. Add upside down large heart sprinkles for tongues, if desired.

Using a #5 tip and white icing, add pupils to the eyes, and feathers on the body if you want more detail.

Add a small amount of icing at the bottom of the porg to secure two crown sprinkles for the porg’s feet.

Once the icing is set, the cookies are ready to serve.
