Star Wars Stormtrooper Coffee Break Cookies
Starbucks, you are not the arbiter of how we live our lives! Oh who are we kidding, when it’s 90 degrees outside but Starbucks says August 27 is the beginning of Pumpkin Spice Latte season, we gather ourselves and grab the nearest PSL in hopes that it summons the fall weather.
I’m thinking stormtroopers feel the same way. That armor must be insanely warm, especially if you’re stationed on a desert planet. Yet through it all, the troopers persevere so I’m assuming they consume piping hot lattes year ’round. I’m assuming a lot about stormtrooper life.
These cookies are an ode to all the troopers out there doing their jobs. Maybe taking a coffee break on the Death Star at the nearest Java the Hutt? Enjoy your PSL, stormtroopers! Who knew they were so basic?

Star Wars Stormtrooper Coffee Break Cookies
Ingredients:
Stormtrooper cookie cutter
sugar cookie dough
black icing
white icing
green icing
Instructions:
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prep baking sheets with silpats or parchment paper.
Step 2: Roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Use a cookie cutter to cut and press the shapes, then transfer them onto the prepped baking sheets.
Step 3: Bake for 10 minutes, let cool on a wire rack.
Step 4: With a #4 tip and black icing, add the helmet details.
Step 5: Use the white icing and a #5 tip to create the coffee cup.
Step 6: With a #3 tip, use the green icing to create the center logo of the coffee cup.
Step 7: Once all the icing is dry, the cookies are ready to serve.
