Star Wars x Le Creuset Collection
I am definitely someone who gets the most out of their pots and pans. Not only do I cook three meals a day for my kids, some days it’s more like 5-times a day because of the food I create for work, so I’ve always been very particular about my cookware. For years now Le Creuset has been my go-to. It’s durable, reliable, and darn near indestructible. This is not an ad, it’s simply a love letter.
I learned through trial and error of different brands that no cookware can withstand the wear and tear of everyday life and work quite like Le Creuset. I have boiled, baked, even burned these pans and they’ve never given up. And because of all that, they have my loyalty. While I am a devotee, I’m also particular. I only collect the color cherry/cerise. It’s a brilliant red that looks as fiery as the flames I use it for. I refuse to stray from that color, even when there’s a sale. Now it seems I will be tested:
A collab for the ages, Le Creuset has partnered to create an exclusive Star Wars line! Two things that are such a big part of my life coming together for the greatest collection in the galaxy: Star Wars x Le Creuset.
Let’s break down the collection and see what we can make with this fantastically geeky cookware:
Han Solo Carbonite Signature Roaster
Probably the most impressive of the collection is the Han Solo in Carbonite roaster. No other Le Creuset roasters come with a lid, let a lone a lid encasing a scruffy-looking Nerf herder. Use this to serve up a Ham Solo Pot Pie, it’s the pot pie that made the Kessel Run…well, you know the rest.
Darth Vader Round Dutch Oven
I use my Le Creuset Dutch Oven at least twice a week or more. Stewing, frying, I use it for just about everything. It’s a workhorse and beautifully well made. You can use this one to cook up some of Yoda’s Root Leaf Stew.
Droid Mini Cocottes
Droids make the best companions—and serving dishes! R2-D2, C-3PO, and BB-8 are reimagined as three mini cocottes. Use them to serve vegetables on the side or fill them with Maz Kanata mac and cheese. However you use them, they’ll never let you down. No worries about a bad motivator here.
Millennium Falcon and Death Star Trivets
Trivets are a must when using good cookware, they help prevent heat damage not only to your cooking vessel but the surface it’s place on. These decorative Star Wars trivets won’t explode on you like an easily destructible space station.
Porg Pie Bird
Pie birds are a staple of any pie baker’s tools, so a porg one just makes sense! A pie bird is a vent that is inserted into a pie prior to baking. It acts as a steam vent to prevent those dreaded “soggy bottoms.” While this recipe for Porgin Pie doesn’t require a pie bird, it’s still delicious.
Tatooine Round Dutch Oven
I must admit this is the one piece I love but not exactly coveting. A beautifully hand painted work of art, any Star Wars fan would be hard-pressed to want a collector’s item like this. But it’s not for the faint of heart, with a $900 price tag and a lottery system just for the chance to purchase one of the nine that were made—your chances of getting one are….well, never tell me the odds.
The Star Wars x Le Creuset collection will be available November 1st in stores and online.
