Star Wars x Pyrex
As an avid collector of cookware and all things Star Wars, I couldn’t let their most recent collab get by me. For this year’s May the 4th, Pyrex and Corelle released limited edition Star Wars storage and I jumped on them as fast as I could.
Pyrex is my go-to for kitchen bakeware and storage, I even have my grandma’s Pyrex, now decades old. It still works great and while you’d think it’d be a downfall to have such a perfect product, the addition of Star Wars is too good to resist.
The Star Wars Pyrex storage set consists of two round 4-cup and two rectangular 3-cup containers. The round ones feature Yoda and Chewie, and the other two: R2-D2 and Darth Vader.
They come with coordinating lids and are easy to stack. Believe me, I checked because storage space is a hot commodity in my kitchen. I have cabinets packed with photo props so for me to buy something takes a lot of thought, since there’s not much room around here.
This set is deceivingly small but mighty because they’ll actually hold a lot. In fact the small rectangular ones are the perfect size for packing bento for the kids. Some days I have to work through lunch so I’ll pack up a bento and leave it in the fridge for the kids to grab on their own.
Older Pyrex didn’t have lids so these are a dream, especially for stacking in the refrigerator. You just need to remember that the lids themselves aren’t heatproof, so take them off before placing in the microwave or oven.
I did make a single purchase aside from the set and it was for a lone Darth Vader 4-cup storage bowl. I’m a sucker for ANYTHING Darth Vader so this was a no-brainer. If they released every single Pyrex item with Darth Vader’s face I’d buy it all.
These items were a special release for May the 4th so I’m not sure if they’ll be coming back, but you never know…the force is strong with these storage containers.
