Strawberry Rice Cereal Treats
Rice Krispy treats are always popular but by changing the formula up you can get some pretty unique flavors.
I found this great Strawberry Rice Cereal from Fresh and Easy (unfortunately they are closing their U.S. stores now) it’s brown rice based with natural strawberry flavor. Very subtle in both taste and appearance. I added in some freeze dried strawberries to give the treats more texture and color and they came out great!
ingredients:
3 Tablespoons butter
40 regular sized marshmallows
6 cups strawberry rice cereal
1 cup freeze dried strawberries
Grease a 9×13 pan and set aside.
In a large pot over medium heat stir the butter and the marshmallows until melted. Take the pot off the burner.
Add in the strawberry rice cereal and the freeze dried strawberries and stir until coated.
Press the mixture into the prepped pan.
Let cool and cut into squares.
