The Food and Drink of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland

Star Wars Land is very close to opening at Disneyland and it will be one of the most immersive experiences ever at a theme park. From the production design, to the CMs, visitors will be able to experience life inside the Star Wars galaxy when they visit Black Spire Outpost, an haven for smugglers and nefarious folk on the planet of Batuu.

Like all Star Wars stories the backstory of the spaceport is essential to the experience. A big part of this worldliness will be thanks to the food and drink that will be served in-land. Starwars.com and Eater reports that for the first time, there will be more vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options available. For years Walt Disney World has been ahead of Disneyland when it comes to allergy friendly options. Pandora – The World of Avatar at Walt Disney World does an amazing job of creating in-world food that is also full of allergy-free alternatives. It seems finally the West Coast has caught up, with an array of flavorful offerings for Star Wars fans.

There are three main eateries and two food stands in the land: Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, Ronto Roasters, and Oga’s Cantina. Let’s take a look at will be offered when you arrive in the Outer Rim.

Docking Bay 7 Food

This sit-down restaurant is a good option for people who have more time to sit and enjoy their dining experience.

Felucian Garden Spread
Kefta is basically minced meat but here it’s plant-based—made with Impossible Meat—and served up with a side of herb hummus, tomato-cucumber relish, and pita bread.

Fried Endorian Tip-Yip
This dish is based on a chicken native to Endor and enjoyed by Ewoks. Anything fried is fabulous and this fried chicken is served with non-dairy olive oil mashed potatoes, aka very allergy friendly.

Ithorian Garden Loaf
Another great meatless option for vegetarians.

Kaadu Ribs
These ribs are cut to look just like the Kaadu they’re representing and they’ll be served with a blueberry corn muffin and cabbage slaw.

Oven Roasted Burra Fish
Mahi-mahi served on a veg and fruit salad wit a with a coconut curry ranch dressing

Oven Roasted Endorian Tip-Yip

Raspberry Cream Puff and Chocolate Cake
How do you like to end your meal, with fruit or a smooth bittersweet dessert? You can choose a raspberry cream puff topped with passion fruit mousse or a a chocolate cake with white chocolate mouse and coffee-flavored custard. Choose wisely.

Shaak Roast
Beef pot roast on pasta.

Yobshrimp Noodle Salad
This is the turning point for gluten-free visitors, options for those who are wheat-sensitive are becoming the norm and this salad uses arrowroot noodles.

Ronto’s Roasters

I’m a big fan of Rontos so this kind of makes me sad but you’ll be able to see these “cooked” on an old podracer engine (the real kitchen is in the back, of course.)

Ronto Wraps
BBQ pork, grilled sausage, and slaw, all wrapped up in grilled masa.
Turkey Jerky
Turkey jerky comes in sweet teriyaki and spicy herb
Meiloorun Juice (non-alcoholic)
One of my favorite food references in the Star Wars universe comes from Star Wars Rebels. Meiloorun take center stage in the show and here we’ll finally get a taste of the fruit for ourselves.
Sour Sarlacc (non-alcoholic)
Tatooine Sunset (non-alcoholic)

Oga’s Cantina

For the first time ever, Disneyland will serve alcohol to the public and Oga’s is where you can find it. All good bars need pub snacks and Oga’s offers up a mix of nori rice crackers, wasabi peas, lotus root, prawn chips, and bubu arare.
Andoan Wine
Dagobah Slug Slinger
Hyperdrive Punch It! (non-alcoholic)
Jabba Juice (non-alcoholic)
Jedi Mind Trick
Jet Juice 2
Spiran Caf
Tarine Tea (non-alcoholic)
T-16 Skyhopper

Outer Rim, Bespin Fizz, Yub Nub, Fuzzy Tauntaun

Moogan Tea
Blue Bantha
Basically cookies and milk. (non-alcoholic
Bloody Rancor
Poor, poor Rancor. This Bloody Mary is served with a meringue bone making the drink even more garish but appropriate.
Black Spire Brew – non-alchoholic

Moof Juice

Carbon Freeze (non-alcoholic), Oga’s Obsession, Cliff Dweller (non-alcoholic)

Milk Stand

Here’s where you can find Star Wars: A New Hope’s iconic Blue Milk. In universe it comes from banthas but here it’s a rice-based milk making it allergy friendly for all. Plus it’s nice and slushy like a perfect Star Wars milkshake.
Blue Milk, Green Milk

Kat Saka’s Kettle
This stand is the Star Wars version of a popcorn cart, serving up colorful popcorn. Japan has always been ahead of the game when it comes to innovative Disneyland popcorn and perhaps this is a sign that the US is finally catching up.
