Tyrion burgers – Game of Thrones
My friend Amy writes recaps of one of my fave tv shows Game of Thrones.
I’ve made Game of Thrones cupcakes before but this ‘inspired’ recipe was created simply to amuse Amy, and a Lannister always pays his debts.
Sweet and delicious on ‘Hand of the’ King’s Hawaiian Sweet Bread rolls (haw haw, see what I did there) these Tyrion burgers may be small but a special ingredient will slap you in the face with flavor and will make these your favorite character of all time…I mean burger of all time.
ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 clove garlic, minced
1/3 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
Sweet chili sauce comes in a large bottle and can be found in the Asian section of the market or at an Asian supermarket. It’s pretty good…on anything.
In a bowl mix together the ground beef, garlic and sweet chili sauce. Add the salt and pepper to season.
Form the meat mixture into small slider sized patties. When I make burger patties I like to slightly indent the center so that it cooks evenly with the outside edges.
Put the burgers on the grill and cook to your desired likeness. Serve on King’s Hawaiian sweet bread rolls, the official bread of King’s Landing – I’m not making this stuff up. (Ok, I am.)
I proclaim these burgers the best in all of the Seven Kingdoms!
That mural is awesome! Those burgers look tasty. I’m so excited for the GOT finale!!!!!!!!!
I love Tyrion and I love sweet chili sauce!! It’s the perfect combination and I cannot wait to try these. I’m also inspired to try it in more recipes (the sweet chili sauce that is).
