Unique Treats Found at Downtown Disney

Having a Disneyland annual pass is a way of life. Hopping down to the parks for a few hours is always fun, but there are also a ton of exciting adventures to be had in adjacent Downtown Disney—no pass required!

In addition to shopping, dining, and movies there are also food and beverage carts that sell unique items that you can’t even find in the park. If you’re like me and always on the hunt for new and fun treats, check out these noteworthy options I found while strolling Downtown Disney. Enjoy!

Macaroni & Cheese Popcorn

It’s hard to resist the smell of fresh popcorn and Kettle Kingdom has two carts at the beginning and end of the Downtown Disney district. They’re trying to trap you with the smell of delicious popped corn and it’s working.

Bagged up and ready to go, there are a variety of options from savory to sweet. One that stood out was called Macaroni & Cheese flavored popcorn. Any kid will tell you this is the ultimate favorite food and flavor. This bag of cheesy goodness makes a unique gift to bring back from vacation.

Unicorn Macarons

To say the unicorn craze is hyped is putting it mildly. Anything and everything is unicorn-ed nowadays, flooding the internet with irresistable, sparkly, fun food.

While pinterest will tell you how to make your own unicorn macarons, for those not baking-inclined they are now available at Kayla’s Cake cart in Downtown Disney. Adorably sweet, their cute little faces are almost too good to eat. Almost. Always eat your macarons, they’re too delicious to go to waste.

Cake in a Jar

Speaking of Kayla’s Cake cart they also offer cake in a jar. Another internet craze gone wild, here they actually make sense. Because if you want to have your cake and shop around too, these are easily portable and you have a fun little jar souvenir to take home.

Churro Ice Cream Sandwich

Churros are my lifeblood. I love them so much, I eat them any way I can but Disneyland churros are definitely my favorite. Now you don’t even have to go into the park to get churros, they offer them right off the cart in Downtown Disney.

California Churro Cart is unique in that they unique flavors like grape and salted caramel, as well as and filled churros like Oreo Cookies and Cream. But on a hot day you can’t resist the idea of cool ice cream packed between two sugary churro spirals. This takes churro love to a new level.
